Work Experience with local young people

We recently opened our doors to a group of young people from our local community to do some work experience.
Over the course of about a month we had 15 young people come and work with us. The most we’ve ever seen!
We spent this time teaching them in the most immersive way possible. The groups worked as studio assistants and created their own pieces of audio to see first-hand how we record and produce.
As well as this, we showed them about our instruments and gear, what we do every day to check everything’s working and how we set up for rehearsals and recording.
We even had a few of them sit in on recording sessions with real clients with Johnny, and learn from Monique about marketing.
Ellie, 17, said:
“I had a great time and I learned a lot, not just about the studio itself, but about promotion and the importance of having the drive to explore new ideas.
This experience has definitely inspired me to pick up my guitar again after a while and start creating again.”
Making the arts accessible to all is a very important part of what we do here at Hybrid.
It’s been a great opportunity to work with a younger generation and help them find themselves in the creative industry.
